For Veronika Horlik, the search for the essence of life feeds on memories. She offers a flax field that, in the foreground, is trapped in eternal winter. Yet, behind the apparent frozen expanse, the memory of a gentle breeze, a less threatening climate and a colourful existence seems to come forth. Could it be that our perception of the present depends on our ability to dig into the images of the past and imagine those to come?
